Jules Joseph is a Brooklyn-based visual artist, educator and arts administrator. In his public art practice, Joseph collaborates with communities in art-making that fosters civic engagement and social change. Joseph’s studio practice is centered on creating mixed-media drawings and paintings from adapted Caribbean folklore to explore personal archetypes and identities.

Joseph is committed to demystifying careers in art & design for young people of color, increasing the visibility of art-making as a tool for social change, and providing a space for young people to explore art-making practices through a series of community-based workshops.
